A celebration of song tonight featuring the EP Release from the catchy folk pop songstress Heather Woods. Joing her for the evening with be George Woods and his band along with singer songwriter and gentle soul Mally Smith
HEATHER WOODS
Heather Woods is a singer-songwriter and Board Certified Music Therapist in the Boston Area. A passionate writer and performer, Heather blends catchy pop-folk with pure and heartfelt vocals to deliver a listening experience described as raw, soulful, and powerfully feminine.
Heather performs independently and as a member of The George Woods Band, and has shared the stage with respected performers such as Jamie Lynn Hart, Betty Who, Joe Young, Grammy Winner Janis Ian, and more. Her original song, 'Never Gonna Be The Same' was recently featured in Heartbeat: A Modern Dance Rock Show, co-produced by George Woods and Jennifer Crowell-Kuhnberg (of OnStage Dance Company) and performed at The Oberon. She is also a member of Fractals, an electronic music collaboration with Eric Wright, preparing to release a debut EP in 2014. Heather's first solo EP is currently in production and is scheduled to be released Fall 2014
MALLY SMITH
New to the Boston music scene, Mally has quickly captured the hearts of audiences in coffee houses and other listening rooms. Accompanying herself on guitar, Mally sings both original songs and the best offered by contemporary singer-songwriters like Edie Carey, Patty Griffin, Lori McKenna, Damien Rice, Rose Cousins and others. Like a big soft living room chair, her warm voice, and engaging style of delivery will draw you in to a comfortable place to which you will return again and again.
GEORGE WOODS
A producer, front and sideman, George Woods has been a staple force in the Boston Music Scene for over 7 years. Currently the lead singer and songwriter in Soul Pop band "Proper Company", George is working on a side project with seasoned Producer Peter Holland-Recine based in Los Angeles.
