Come gather round people wherever you roam, and celebrate Bob Dylan's 73rd birthday with MATT BORRELLO and ART TEBBETTS. You'll hear the classics alongside a healthy dose of obscurities from all five decades of Dylan's storied career. The iconic Dylan, who has been a major force in popular music for five decades, turned 74 on May 24th. Accomplished singer-songwriters in their own right, Art and Matt share a love for Dylan's music. A seasoned performer, Art has long been a Dylan fan. In addition to a full schedule of playing coffeehouses, and pubs, Art plays afternoons at area nursing homes and Senior centers. He also hosts a weekly open mic in his hometown of New Bedford, and for twenty years has performed and been the Main Stage host of the New Bedford Folk Festival. Several years ago, Art taught an after school program at U Mass Dartmouth, which is where he and Matt first got together to share their large repertoire of Dylan songs.
Matt Borrello is a traveling singer and guitar player with a repertoire of traditional folk, classic rock, and contemporary original songs. From Dighton, MA, Matt plays regularly in the Boston, Southern Mass, and Rhode Island area, usually as a solo acoustic act. His passionate performances have earned him recognition in various New England talent showcases and songwriting contests, most notably at the Boston Folk Festival Youth Songwriting Contest. Matt performs his own songs and also offers energetic interpretations of classic folk, rock, and blues from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. He has a not-so-secret fondness for Bob Dylan songs. Matt is also a guitarist-for-hire and loves spontaneous collaborations with other musicians. He has always appeared comfortable on coffeehouse stages, and is equally at home playing a rowdy bar, intimate house concert, or outdoor festival.
