Väsen in Concert
One of the best acoustic bands performing today, these three music mavericks, Olov Johansson: nyckelharpa (keyed fiddle), Mikael Marin: viola & violin, and Roger Tallroth: guitar, perform original compositions written with the energetic spirit and "icy" edge of traditional Scandinavian music. "... could be the most significant Swedish export since the Vikings." Väsen's seven band albums, and the performer's solo albums have all been releasted to critical acclaim. Their stage presence has to been seen to believed: their height, their montrous musicianship, the virtuosity, and their heavily accented jokes.
