A HOME AWAY FROM HOME-- How to Exchange Homes -- Helen Saulsbury Jacobson
Are you a traveler, not a tourist? Do you dream of experiencing life as a local when you travel? If the answer is yes, this course about Home Exchange is for you.
Exchanging homes is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the real world of places you travel to. Picture yourself developing friendships with neighbors and business people who you see every day and enjoying morning coffee, afternoon tea or dinners in each other's homes as you discover the true customs and stories about where you are "living".
Costs are limited to an airline ticket, food and other incidentals. Huge hotel bills are no longer part of your expenses.
This class will show how easy it is to travel this way, pointing out pros and cons and how to get the information for exchanging homes. You'll leave the class with exciting new ideas about your future travel adventures.
Instructor Helen Saulsbury Jacobson is an experienced Home Exchange traveler and a published journalist. She has previously taught photography, travel and finance classes for Cal Poly's Ollie program and is excited to share her travel knowledge with LLCC.
