Portland Sings: RICHARD RODGERS
IT'S A GRAND NIGHT FOR SINGING! Join Joe Theissen, Pam Mahon, Kurt Raimer, Merideth Kaye Clark, Michael "Tuba" McKinsey and your hostess, Courtney Freed, as they celebrate the extraordinary music of Richard Rodgers, the remarkable composer whose career spanned more than six decades, writing over 900 published songs and 40 Broadway musicals! His unforgettable collaborations with Lorenz Hart and later, Oscar Hammerstein II, delivered the twentieth century's most beloved songs, featured in the musicals "BABES IN ARMS," "THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE," "PAL JOEY," "OKLAHOMA," "CAROUSEL," "THE KING AND I," and "THE SOUND OF MUSIC." With music direction by Mont Chris Hubbard, this delightful collection of romantic ballads and jazzy standards sung by some of Portland's most stunning vocalists will be one enchanted evening you will not want to miss! Doors open at 7pm, show begins at 7:30pm. Come early for a complimentary glass of wine!
