David Rothenberg Live with Nigthinglaes
David Rothenberg went out at midnight to the parks of Berlin last year to jam with singing nightingales. David is a clarinetist and writer known for his work with creatures of all kinds. He records on the ECM label and travels the world looking for unusual animal musicians to engage with. Come and enjoy an interspecies concert where half the tunes are live human/nightingale encounters, and the rest are constructions mixing clarinets and electronic mysteries.
The resulting album, Berlin Bülbül, that's nightingale in Turkish, is soon to come out, and in honor of the release we will hold live concerts with us and the birds at secret locations in Berlin and the UK. We would love to have you be the first listeners in the world to hear this album, you are invited to a unique musical journey.
