Old Blind Dogs
For more than twenty years Old Blind Dogs has brought life and spirit to the music of Scotland. They were the first to fuse Scottish tradition with African rhythms, and have twice won Folk Band of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards-the only band ever to win more than once. Taking influence from the whole spectrum of the Scottish folk tradition and well beyond, their strength lies in evoking the wild, historic Scottish landscape and bringing it to life in the contemporary world, even when they cover AC/DC.
The band features original member Jonny Hardie on fiddle, guitar and vocals accompanied by Aaron Jones (bouzouki, guitar, vocals), Ali Hutton (whistles, Border pipes"an athelete of the pipes!") and Fraser Stone (drums, percussion).
