Book and Lyrics by Steven Sater Music by Duncan Sheik Directed by Georgina Spelvin
Based on Frank Wedekind's controversial 1891 expressionist play and featuring an electrifying score, Spring Awakening follows the lives of a group of teens as they navigate their journey from adolescence to adulthood in a fusion of morality, sexuality, and rock & roll. Winner of 8 Tony Awards - including Best Musical.
Performances are August 21, 22, 28, & 29 - 8pm (Doors @ 7pm) at Broadway Performance Hall (1625 Broadway, Seattle).
Presented in agreement with Music Theatre International. Proceeds from our production will benefit Peace for the Streets by Kids from the Streets. PSKS supports homeless and at-risk youth and young adults in the Seattle area. Their committed efforts are targeted at providing stepping stones to transition youths from the streets to self-sufficiency and productive roles in community. Learn more at www.psks.org.
Note: Though our show is all ages, parents should be aware that Spring Awakening contains adult subject matter, some explicit language, and brief nudity.
