ABOUT MISS OREGON USA, Anna Prosser: Hi there! On October 3rd in Bend I was crowned Miss Oregon USA. My job now is not only to represent our state in national competition at Miss USA in the Spring, but also to be a role model and community figure in Oregon. I'm making appearances all over the state as a celebrity guest and doing a lot of speaking, teaching, volunteering, and coordinating events with the goal of making our Oregon community better. Recently, I have partnered with Operation Homefront, http://www.operationhomefront.net/ and humbly request your presence at this fun event in our effort to support their cause.
ABOUT SPOREGANIC: Sporeganic is a sonic shaman on a mission to save the planet through sound. Merging eastern mystic vibrations with west coast bass music, Sporeganic has been rocking festivals such as EmrgNSee, Photosynthesis, and Tucson Gem & Jam Festival with the ranks of EOTO, Pnuma Trio, and VibeSquad. ABOUT THE CYCLOPS COLLECTIVE: The Cyclops Music Collective has been described as a straightforward group of artists. Casey Jarman of Portland's weekly newspaper Willamette Week states in his review of the recently released compilation album, "the compilation will probably be a lot of Portlanders' thing: Those looking for introspective, thoughtful lyrics and low key beats; who feel isolated by the fronting, tough-guy image that even a lot of local artists embody. Cyclops doesn't bother with the latter bullshit, and it's nice to hear." Although the Collective is new and fresh, as a whole, the members are no strangers to Portland venues, performing many times together in the past, they decided to unite and collectively work toward one goal: To preserve, maintain, and progress the quality, crucial elements, and culture of Hip-Hop music. ABOUT DJ Y.N.A.: Brandon Yates, aka DJ Y.N.A., is a Northwest musician who calls Portland home. As an independent artist he's akin to a lone wolf, if you may; using an arsenal of electronic espionage to cater to the growing pack of souls seeking a continuous uplifting experience. "As an artist I take pride in staying true to what I play, rather than a focus on the pursuit of profit. Culture tells us to be "them" but I choose to be me, finding my own image and not a generic that conforms to a mass produced image. Playing music enables you to express yourself through your purely unique interpretation, fulfilling the dream that belongs to you and no one else." Y.N.A.'s style ranges from Shock and Awe through Trance and Tech to moving Progressive and Minimal Rhythms. But occasionally he'll play Dubstep or House. DJ Y.N.A. links: http://soundcloud.com/djyna
ABOUT RARE MONK: Rare Monk is a collective of five Portland musicians that have been playing in and around Eugene and Portland, Oregon for the past two years. With a sound that has continued to evolve since the band's formation, their repertoire combines elements of pop, rock, psych, jazz, and funk. In 2009, Rare Monk won the KWVA Battle of the Bands in Eugene and has since performed a number a shows including the 2009 Eugene Celebration, 2010 Willamette Valley Bike Music Fest, and the 2010 Whiteaker Block Party. The group just recently finished up their first EP, Falconer's Folly, and plans to return to the studio as soon as possible. Rare Monk links: http://www.facebook.com/raremonk
