A Hero's Concert
Program:
MSMF Student Concerto Competition Winners Ein Heldenleben, Richard Strauss Grzegorz Nowak, conductor MSMF Symphony Orchestra
Fiery soloists from the MSMF Piano and Orchestra Institutes showcase their prodigious talents as winners of the Miami Summer Music Festival's Concerto Competition take the stage with the MSMF Orchestra.
The players then come together for Strauss' dramatic and demanding tone poem Ein Heldenleben, or "A Hero's Life." A classical showpiece, Strauss expands the breadth of the orchestra's limits as the audience is taken on a daring journey of heroism. The 95-piece MSMF Symphony Orchestra is comprised of top young musical talents from the world's elite music institutions including Juilliard, the Royal College of Music, the Cleveland Institute, and others.
