Deep Fayed is an all new breed of live band hip-hop. Their genre breaking music is characterized by an electrifying combination of influences, their heavy beats and a fusion of rock, funk and jazz music. The four piece rhythm section includes guitarist and leader George Wundsam, bassist Matt Wilson, keyboardist Cole DeGenova and drummer Chresten Hyde. Also joining the core group is prolific Chicago poet and MC, Binkey. Since early 2015, the group has been writing and performing new material featuring Chicago MC, R.O.E., "Rising Over Envy". Deep Fayed is also currently performing as backing band with indie rock singer-songwriter, Brittany Moffitt. Since 2011 the group has performed across Chicago and the midwest. They plan to expand horizons further in 2015. Deep Fayed released their debut, self-titled, six song EP in June 2013. In their debut release, the groove based group brings to the listener gritty, "urban-anthemic" songs that hit deep into the soul with a fearless, vastly layered soundscape of delicious ear candy. In 2014 they joined major Chicago funk acts as the only Hip-Hop group billed at the first ever Funk Fest Chicago held at Subterranean. They were also the featured band at Tonic Room's acclaimed Hip-Hop showcase, Heavy Rotation: Volume 10.
