Maziar Atrian was born in Shiraz-Iran. His acquaintance with music began with learning piano at the age of twelve. Two years later, when he was only fourteen, he performed his first public piano recital in "Shiraz University Cultural and Recreational Center". He was selected as the pianist in the "Fars Cultural Organization" youth band that year.
After high school, he studied Solfege and Music Dictation, Harmony, History of Music, and Musical Forms under the supervision of several Masters of music in Tehran, and also started playing saxophone as his secondary musical instrument.
He founded "Parsian Choral Band" in cooperation with a number of youth singers of Shiraz in 1999. "Parsian Choral Band" has been a well-known musical group of Iran with several successful performances under the conduction of Maziar Atrian, and it achieved the second place of choral section of "Fajr Music Festival" in 2008.
Maziar Atrian has been instructing music since 1998, and many of his students are now playing in various Iran orchestras or have gone on to music in different parts of the world. Most of the musical pieces written by Maziar Atrian are composed in the field of vocal music.
In 2014, he moved to the United States and settled in Northern California, where he spends most of his time teaching Piano, Solfege and the Theory of Music to his students.
