Fiesta! Meal Ticket
Fiesta is a community party featuring an afternoon of food, music, art activities, and fun that raises money to support the work of the Community Center of Mendocino. It happens Sunday, May 17th from 1 to 5 pm at the Center on the corner of School Street and Pine in Mendocino.
The afternoon will feature a festive Mexican lunch and dessert station with treats donated by some of the coast's best bakers. Quarteto Pura Vida will play their spirited and danceable Latin-inspired sounds on the main stage. Dance instructor Laura Sloane will be on hand to teach everyone some salsa moves. There will be plenty of activities for children, including a tour of the Children's Garden, where little ones can get their hands dirty with instructor Nicole Trevino. New this year is the Cantina, where beer, wine, and sangria will be available. Enjoy demonstrations of circus silks, Taiko drumming, and saber fencing. This year's silent auction will feature skills and services offered by community members.
Admission to this event is free; lunch can be purchased for $15/adults, $7/ children.
