Longfellow Roots, Rock and Deep Blues Music, Art and Food Festival
The 2015 Roots, Rock & Deep-Blues Festival, presented by Patrick's Cabaret, has been renamed The Longfellow Roots, Rock & Deep Blues Music, Art & Food Festival to reflect the unique Minneapolis neighborhood in which it takes place each year.

The 2014 'Best of Twin Cities' (City Pages) and 2014 'Best of Minnesota' (StarTribune) summer music, arts and cultural event is back on Sat, July 18th, 2015, for it's 5th incarnation, from noon to 10pm.

The most ambitious and accessible neighborhood celebration of the arts and culture of the Twin Cities is also the annual fundraiser for the non-profit community theater Patrick's Cabaret in South Minneapolis. www.patrickscabaret.org

Patrick's Cabaret is excited to unveil a new, expanded festival footprint in south Minneapolis for 2015 and is announcing another eclectic lineup of the best local, regional and national RRDB artists.

In addition to adding the neighborhood name (Longfellow) to its already laborious acronym, 2015 will see the festival expand into Minnehaha Ave. with the addition of numerous neighborhood restaurants, including; Gandhi Mahal, Midori's, Le Town Talk, African Paradise, Merlin's Rest and many more, representing an astonishing mix of offerings in the festival's new International Food Court.

The 2015 festival will also showcase new neighborhood businesses like Du Nord Distillery as well as long-standing neighborhood anchors like Harriet Brewing Company. The event will again be bicycle friendly with the return of The Hub Bike Co-op's complimentary bicycle valet service for our two-wheeling attendees, and we will present a variety of interactive activities, including; performance art, an exhibition of visual artists, and the very best local craft sodas, beers and distilled spirits.

The 2015 festival will also boast (4) musical stages with top-notch live entertainment throughout the day/evening, including perennial festival favorites like; Kent Burnside & The New Generation, Minneapolis' own 'Spider' John Koerner and Duluth's Charlie Parr, as well as intermittently returning acts like Indiana's gut-bucket trio Left Lane Cruiser, local Afro-funksters Black Market Brass and award winning Iowa blues artists Joe & Vicky Price.

As always, there will be exciting fresh faces and sounds this year, including the last living Bentonian-style blues player, Mr Jimmy 'Duck' Holmes, from Bentonia, MS, the Toronto based punk-blues duo Catl, acclaimed composer, producer (and former Squirrel Nut Zipper band leader) Jimbo Mathus and The Tri-State Coalition from Oxford, MS, Minneapolis West-Bank musical legend Willie Murphy & His Angel Headed Hipsters and local folk-grass trio Last Revel.

The complete up-to-date festival lineup can be found at www.rootsrockdeepblues.com with additional acts being announced throughout the summer!

Patrick's would like to thank all of our presenting partners and our sponsors, as well as the participating artists, businesses and neighborhood residents for their ongoing support.
