EMILY ANN PETERSON-
Peterson's lyrics dance through melodies founded upon her upbringing with classical cello. However, the songs also reveal a stealthy adoration of pop and Motown. With her roots in Texas & Georgia and her home in Washington's City of Destiny, Emily Ann Peterson spent 17 years with her cello, much of that time collaboratively writing songs with her musical counterparts and singing along when asked. Christmas 2013, she was diagnosed with an essential tremor in her right hand. Refusing to simply resign to fate and genetics, she expanded her skills to include the piano and solo songwriting. This act of neurological defiance broke through her creative glass ceiling.

ETHAN HAWLEY-
Wisconsin native Mitchell James and his wife Allison moved to the Gritty Pacific Northwest City Tacoma in 2012 after releasing an ep titled Iron and Gold earlier that year. In 2013 Allison officially joined The Tenants as a vocalist and pianist and over the next two years they released their first full length album titled The Art of Starting Over, an homage to their cross-country move. The Tenants played over 75 shows before going on hiatus in the fall of 2014. Since then James refocused his songwriting, seeking his most honest voice yet by writing and revisiting his prior works to develop a sound that stretches from the iconic folk singer-songwriter to the energetic rock-n-roll frontman. Taken from the 1961 Steinbeck novel The Winter of Our Discontent, James assumed the name Ethan Hawley to tell the story of a man who struggles with the expectation of what it means to have dignity, and if it comes at the cost of goodness. This story James seeks to share is The Introduction to, and Unnecessary Foretelling of Demise of, Ethan Hawley.
