Press Play Hump Days: Red Nose Edition
Press Play is turning its monthly show into a charity event! Come join us as we honor America's first Red Nose Day and raise money for a great cause.
All proceeds from the event will go to Food & Friends, a local nonprofit that prepares and delivers specialized meals, groceries, and nutrition counseling to men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses.
We have an all-star lineup of comedy, theater, and music:
* Improv from the Mighty Might School Project. They are double mighty. * Music from singer/guitarist CC Hill. Take a listen to "Everyday" from her latest album: http://iamcchill.com/CCMusic * "txt": An interactive performance from award-winning artist Brian Feldman featuring your anonymous tweets. * More improv from Press Play, along with a few silly bits we have planned.
The estimated value of all this entertainment is one gazillion dollars, give or take a few bajillion. But you can buy a ticket for just $10 ($15 at the door). WHAAAT? And your money will go to a great charity. DOUBLE WHAAAT? So feel good, laugh, and support the wonderful work Food & Friends does, all at the same time.
Thanks, and hope to see you there.

Performer bios:
MIGHTY MIGHTY SCHOOL PROJECT is a DC-based long-form improv troupe consisting of Stacy Hayashi, Julian Morgan, Aaron Singer, Audrey Mattaino, and Stephen Carter. They met at a hot, new, sexy, fashion party and have been best friends ever since. Their format is an action-themed pretty flower. If you want to know exactly what that means, come to their show! They love you all endlessly.
CC HILL has always known that she's wanted to share her talents with the world but it was on a remarkable trip to west Africa, where CC discovered her voice. Since then, CC has not looked back, continuing to hone her craft, writing and composing. With deep Memphis roots, CC has developed her sound, to reveal the heart of her hometown. She pulls from inspirations that span across the borders of soul, jazz and folk music. Melodic guitar tunes and catchy hooks flavored with this unique voice, allow everyone to feel her spirit. Some have described her style as Tracy Chapman fused with Corine Bailey Rae. While having played hip Memphis spots like the trendy Otherlands and musician's favorite, Neil's, CC has had the pleasure of performing in a variety legendary venues across the nation such as, NYC's The Village Underground, Nuyorican Poet's Café, DC's Busboys and Poets. CC delights in sharing her experiences through music.
BRIAN FELDMAN is an award-winning conceptual artist, working primarily in time-based performance. He is best known for leaping off of a ladder 366 times over 24 hours ("Leap Year Day"), eating dinner on stage with his real life family over 40 times ("The Feldman Dynamic") and legally marrying a stranger in support of marriage equality via a game of spin-the-bottle ("Brian Feldman Marries Anybody*"), in addition to the more than 100 other projects he has presented since August 2003 through Brian Feldman Projects, the premiere presenter of experimental time-based art in the nation's capital. Brian will be performing one of his signature projects, "txt" (pronounced 'text') an interactive performance featuring dialogue written anonymously by an audience in real time via Twitter. This is the only show that asks you to leave your phone "on" and actively use it the entire time. It is not necessary to have a Twitter account in order to participate, as everyone in attendance is randomly assigned a protected and anonymous account for their use.
PRESS PLAY is one of DC's longest-running improv troupes, currently in our 4th year! We are pleased to produce monthly Hump Day Shows that bring you the best variety entertainment, including comedy, music, dance, and much more.
