Sephardic Crossroads Celebration presents music rarely heard that has journeyed through centuries after the Sephardic Jewish community was forced to leave Spain and Portugal in 1492. The songs and people sought survival in places including Turkey, Greece and North Africa. The music became a powerful synthesis of local elements integrated into song that has been transmitted through generations.
