Blues Artist Eric Bibb is a modern day Troubadour traveling the globe non stop sharing both his talent and his philosophy of the good life. Blue Sky Productions NW is both bringing Eric Bibb & Michael Jerome Brown to the Sapphire Lounge at the Riverside Hotel as a part of their 2015 US Tour and to conclude Blue Sky Rock n' Blues 2015 Series. This marks Eric's first stop in Boise!

Many tables in The Sapphire Room are at bar height. Those requiring lower or accessible seating will be most comfortable in the preferred seating section directly in front of the stage or at the bar (21+).
Advance ticket sales will end 4 hours before the show. Unsold seats will be available at the door an hour before the event on September 8th.

Eric Bibb is a Grammy nominee and has become a familiar face and voice in the U.S. and Europe. Nominated for nine W.C. Handy Blues Music Awards and winner of the Best Newcomer title in the British Blues Awards, Bibb has been appropriately described as "discreetly awesome" and "a total original." As his popularity escalates, earlier comparisons to legendary greats Ry Cooder and Taj Mahal are being replaced by quotes that speak to Bibb's ability to "use standard blues ingredients to cook up something all his own."
Bibb's rich and sensitive vocals and lyrics provide a perfect balance to his fine finger picking technique. Purveying a beautifully realized and deftly accomplished soulful folk-blues, Bibb has no problem blending various genres effortlessly, melding a traditional rootsy American style with a subtle, contemporary sensibility.

A distinguished history
Over the course of many album releases over the years Bibb has been nominated for multiple Blues Music Awards in several categories. In addition to the Grammy-nominated Shakin' a Tailfeather children's album (with Taj Mahal and Linda Tillery and the Cultural Heritage Choir), other noted albums included Friends, which featured Odetta, Charlie Musselwhite, Guy Davis and Mahal as special guests. Two collaborations with his father (who lives in Vancouver) were A Family Affair and Praising Peace: A Tribute to Paul Robeson, which Stony Plain released in 2006. More recent was his 2010 Booker's Guitar, a tribute to blues pioneer Bukka White, on which he played White's steel-bodied National guitar.
A four-decade career, 35 albums, countless radio and television shows and non-stop touring have given Eric Bibb a world view that's tempered by curiosity and compassion, and the ability to see himself in other peoples' shoes.
