Grandmother's Workshop: Pasta Making 101 with Local Cook Seth Peterson
Ever tried making your own pasta? Homemade pasta is simple and delicious, requiring only a handful of ingredients to get phenomenal results. People have made pasta at home for centuries, let's recapture and relearn this simple skill so we can pass it on.
In this very hands-on workshop, we will learn how to make pasta from scratch. We will make flat-sheet pasta step by step: making the dough, kneading, rolling it out, cutting, and finally cooking it. Then, do a tasting to discover how the ingredients as well as the rolling affect the finished pasta. After getting the basics down, we can cook some pastas and make pan sauces. This is a great introductory to intermediate class that will give you a new skill in the kitchen.
