The Imaginists' Project 104 presents We From Afar, Sci-Fi Theatre
March 10*, 11, 12 | 17*, 18, 19 | 24*, 25, 26 All Shows at 8 p.m.
WE FROM AFAR: In the far, far future . . . after the Gender Wars . . . you can machine-gun Santa Clause whenever you feel like it . . . you can travel the universe via the Einstein-Podelski-Rosen Effect . . . you can turn an easy buck selling Kukla Boogie with a subcutaneous implant. . . but your butler refuses to hose down the thing that's eating your tongue--and he's not the kind of guy you want to fire . . .
and here's some more fodder . . .
WE FROM AFAR is an evening of scifi tales based on short stories of Nebula nominee (and Imaginist) Eliot Fintushel, whose work has appeared in all the major science fiction magazines (AMAZING, ASIMOV'S, ANALOG, SCIENCE FICTION AGE, etc. . . . ) and anthologies, including two of the canonical YEAR'S BEST collections from St. Martin's Press and the novel BREAKFAST WITH THE ONES YOU LOVE (Random House).
Harlan Ellison: "Eliot Fintushel's nifty stories have been an ongoing joy for me for years."
The stories are realized for the theater by the Imaginists' Project 104 ensemble, including a standup routine ("No, Really!") from a future Earth that has been overrun by space aliens.
