DINNER & A MOVIE - SIDEWALK MEMORIES AND WHAT I LOVE ABOUT ROXBURY
During the twentieth century, the second largest Jewish population in the United States lived in the Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan area of Boston, now known more familiarly as the DRM.
The mission of this project, "Sidewalk Memories", is to document a living record, on video and on the Internet. It highlights the social life and economics in Boston's Jewish community of Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan during the 1930's, 40's, 50's and 60's.
ALSO: A short film "What I Love About Roxbury" a documentary about the history of Roxbury with interviews with Roxbury residents.
DINNER: Haley House Bakery Café will prepare a special Valentine menu for the evening, featuring a luscious layered vegetable lasagne dinner with a balsamic green side salad. The meal is capped with one of Haley House Bakery Café's signature chocolate cupcakes. Beverages are available for purchase, including organic beer and wine.
