The Donner Party Cycle
The California State University Channel Islands Performing Arts program presents
The Donner Party Cycle
The cycle of plays follows the ill-fated Donner Party as they crossed the western desert and mountains en route to California. Only half the company survived, most dying in the Sierras during the winter of 1846-47. The plays dramatize key decisions the party made along the California Trail, any of which could have spelled their doom.
Come relive the experience with the Donners. You'll leave hungry for more....
The performance is part one of a two-part cycle of plays written and directed by Bob Mayberry and will include performances by the students of PA/ART 391, and music written and performed by Nic Deusson. Performances are Wednesday, March 9th March 12th at 8:00 pm, closing Sunday, March 13th at 2:00 pm on the Malibu Hall Theatre (Malibu 140) on the Cal State Channel Islands Campus.
Performances are approximately 1.5 hours with no intermission. Tickets are free for CI students, $5 for non-CI students, $10 for faculty & staff, and $15 for the general public.
Parking is free in designated spaces.
