2/28 - Chase Coy / Jimmy Robbins / What Happened In Vegas / Out Of Your League +
Chase Coy:
Hey my name is Chase.
I'm writing this bio from a piano bench, sitting in the parlor of my house. The weather has been strangely nice lately, and the sun is shining through the windows and warming the room in a blanket of golden light.
As I start to reflect on the past three years and how I got to where I am now, it dawns on me that I'm not particularly good at writing these bios, and though I've recounted stories from my life countless times in song, it instantly becomes more difficult when the music is stripped away and replaced by punctuation and correct grammar. But I'll try to make due.
For the past three years, I've pretty much stowed away in my basement and spent my time writing and recording home demos, which I have now released in a compilation on iTunes called Where the Road Parts. These became the foundation for a record that I spent the past year or so of my life creating: Picturesque.
This record has turned out to be more than I ever expected it to be. After stepping out of my basement, I embarked on a journey that has helped me grow both as a person and as a musician; I have met new friends, seen new places, and been able to pursue a vision for my music that I had only dreamt of in my little basement in Indiana.
The result is something that I hope will both move and inspire you; something that you can find beauty in, and that will give you hope. I hope that it will restore your faith in love if you've lost it, and most of all, I hope that by listening to it you will learn more about yourself and the world around you.
These songs are my thoughts and feelings; my memories and my rescue when I need it most. This is the music that helps me make sense of the world when nothing else can, and I only hope that it can do the same for you.
This is Picturesque.

Jimmy Robbins:
Hey, my name is Jimmy Robbins. I guess this whole thing started when I was seven years old. I found a guitar at my Grandmom's house and her being the wonderful woman she was she let me take it home with me. Over the years I picked it up every once in a while but I didn't really realize what it meant to me until I was about 11. At the time my mom was very sick. She was diagnosed with early onset alzheimers when I was little and passed away when I was 14. At the time there was a lot of stuff I wasn't really able to deal with or talk about but you really have to let it out somehow and for me that was music. Everything I didn't know how to say started sneaking out through songs. Before I knew it a few people started listening to the songs I was putting on the internet and encouraging me to keep going. I hopped on a few tours. Made some albums. Saw the country a few times. Signed to a record label. Had a good run. Left the label. Found myself again. And here we are... More inspired than ever and ready to take over the world! haha This is just the beginning of a whole new story so please stick around with me!
