FRACTURED Creator/Performer: Nicola Elbro
A wide-eyed tomboy with a strong sense of adventure and a lack of common sense spends the first 13 years of her life in and out of casts. At the age of 14 she experiences death of a young friend for the first time and the adventure is put on hold. Over a decade later, she finally attempts to combat her fear of death and loss by volunteering at a camp for children with cancer... naturally.

THE ARCHIVIST Creator/Performer: Shaista Latif
A decade after leaving, Shaista Latif revisits her time living at Covenant House. A personal project about memory, loss, trauma, and awareness. Show contains mature content; language advisory. Ages 14+.
Shaista Latif is a queer identified Afghan-Canadian storyteller, playwright,and facilitator. Her play Graceful Rebellions, directed by Evalyn Parry, was presented at the 2013 Rhubarb Festival, 2013 Halifax Queer Acts Festival, and 2014 SummerWorks Theatre Festival. Latif is the recipient of The Theatre Centre's Emerging Artist Award. In May 2015, Graceful Rebellions was presented by the NAC's Ontario Scene Festival in Ottawa. Shaista is a facilitator for PrideCab, an LGBTQ2 youth group focused on creation and performance at Buddies in Bad Times. She has also worked as a facilitator for Cahoots Theatre Company's Crossing Gibraltar program. Latif also works on a contractual basis for the YWCA where she focuses her workshops on communication and storytelling for newcomers and refugees. She is currently part of the playwright's unit Hot House at Cahoots Theatre Company. She is also a 2014/2015 playwright in residence at Diaspora Dialogues supported by Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. Her new play The Archivist, developed in Cahoots' Hot House Unit, was recently presented at the 2015 Rhubarb Festival.

+ All shows begin on time. + There are NO latecomers, NO refunds, NO exceptions, but we are happy to exchange your tickets to another event (pending availability) if you are late to your show! Please double check your event's start time/location and arrive early to avoid disappointment. + Walk-up tickets will go on sale ONE HOUR before the event, cash only. + If an event has sold out online, come on down to the theatre and see if we have any walk-up tickets available! + Advance ticket sales end at 12pm the day of the event. If online sales have ended, we strongly encourage you to visit the theatre in person!
