Event
Love On The Edge
Arena Theater and Redwood Coast Players will present their inaugural co-production Love On The Edge on Sunday February 13 at 7:00 PM. The event is a joint benefit for Arena Theater and Coast Community Library in Point Arena.
Love On The Edge is comprised of several one-act scenes and monologues to highlight the sweetness, laughter, anger, and sometimes terror that people encounter in the land of love. Singers and bands will provide musical interpretations of romance and there may even be a dance number or two.
At regular interludes the actors will perform readings of love letters submitted by locals. Anyone who is interested in participating may send anonymous letters to theaterontheedge@aol.com or mail to David Skibbins, PO Box 31, The Sea Ranch, CA 95497, by February 9, 2011. The letters can be directed to a partner, a lover, a pet, even your community but must not mention any identifiable person. They must be typed (or submitted in a .txt , docx, .pdf or .doc file), no longer than one page and may be edited for length or clarity.
The play includes adult themes, parental discretion is advised.
Tickets are $15.00, $3.00 discount for Arena Theater and Friends of the Library members, available online at www.arenatheater.org and at local ticket vendors: Four-Eyed Frog Books and Sea Trader, Gualala; Arena Market, Point Arena; Tangents, Fort Bragg. Tickets will also be available at the box office on the day of the show. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the Arena Theater Bar and the snack stand will be open.
Redwood Coast Players, a cooperative, community project, in collaboration with Arena Theater is devoted to bringing contemporary, edgy drama and community-building theatrical events to the coast.
