Hathor Unveiled: An Homage to our Belly Dance Origins
Alexandra - Inzar - Nabeela - Noura - Saroya Poirier - Tamalyn Dallal - Zaphara - Zorina
Eight luminous local women take the stage in "Hathor Unveiled: An Homage to our Belly Dance Origins." As an art and practice, belly dance is a catalyst for women to connect with their core physical power, stimulating confidence, health, and positivity in all aspects of life. Like Hathor, an ancient Egyptian goddess of music, dance, and foreign lands, who personified feminine love, motherhood, and joy, these women have dedicated their lives to sharing the many benefits of the dance, enriching Puget Sound culture and the wellness of countless other women. All over the age of 45, they continue to teach, innovate, and perform.
Featuring a different selection of women each year, this second annual production showcases the wonderful artistry and beauty of seasoned women in performance while paying tribute to the many lifelong belly dance artists in our community who have laid the groundwork for today's vibrant belly dance scene. Inspired by their teachers and mentors, Hathor Unveiled is presented by Suzanna Davis and Malia Mihailoff.
