Afriky Lolo presents Soleil du Coeur
Afriky Lolo will host its eighth Annual African Dance Celebration, Soleil du Coeur, on Friday, March 4, and Saturday, March 5, at the Mildred Bastian Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Forest Park Community College in St. Louis.
Experience the best of traditional and modern West African dance and Afro-European inspired music. Afriky Lolo West African Dance Company and the Forest Park Community College Music Department come together to present an exceptional concert showcasing West African Dance, western melodies and African instruments.
Music and Dance are in a constant state of change and evolution. Globalization brings together melodies, instruments and movement from around the world and gives new meaning to the common elements of pitch, duration, tone, action, space, time, energy and intensity.
