24Hour Capital Region/Berkshires Theatre Project
WAM Theatre, MOPCO and The Arts Center of the Capital Region present the first ever 24 Hour Capital Region/Berkshire County Theatre Project. The project will team Capital Region and Berkshire County theatre artists all with the common task of creating five original works of theatre in 24 hours, with a public presentation at the end of the 24 hours.
How it works: on Friday evening, March 25, five playwrights will receive the number of actors they are writing for and a theme and they will then have 12 hours to write a short script. The following morning, Saturday, March 26, directors, actors, stage managers, designers and technical staff will gather and rehearse those new scripts. At 8:00pm on Saturday night, those five new scripts will be shared with the public at a one night only event at the Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy, NY!
