Evening at the Barn: Parallel Language Films
JanFeb2011EAB Beth Werling, Collections Manager for the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles and Daryl Maxwell, former archivist with Universal and Disney Studios will present a program on Parallel Language films, the technique Hollywood employed before looping to market their films internationally. Photos and clips will be presented to illustrate this brief period in film history when a single film could be made in a number of different languages with partial or completely different casts.
