16th Annual Kona Brewers Festival
The 16th Annual Kona Brewers Festival surfs onto the shore of Kailua Bay on Hawaii's Big Island Saturday, March 12, 2011. Tapping up more than 60 types of ales and lagers, served alongside island-style cuisine from 25 Hawaii chefs, the sell-out event features craft beer, tantalizing food, live music and outdoor entertainment at King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel in Kailua-Kona from 2:30 to 6:30 pm. We are honored to have this year's presenting sponsor be Sunetric. The Kona Brewers Festival is the culminating event of a multi-day celebration that includes a beer and food pairing dinner at the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort Thursday, March 10, and a charity golf tournament at the Big Island Country Club Friday, March 11. The Kona Brewers Festival is a community fundraising event, made possible by the Bill Healy Foundation, that promotes the creaft brewery revolution in Hawaii and encourages professional brewers and chefs to work together. The event raises funds for environmental, educational, and cultural organizations. It has raised more than $350,000 over the past fifteen years.
