Social Media / Marketing Workshop for Nonprofits
NEW START TIME AND LOCATION! Greenwood Library, 10am, Thursday 1/27
High demand for this workshop has required us to change the location. We can't all fit in the conference room anymore!
Hosted by Brown Paper Tickets' in-house marketing and promotions staff, this workshop is intended to assist nonprofit organizations learn how to best leverage social media tools to promote their cause, increase donations and reach target audiences.
We'll cover:
*Social Media Strategy *Twitter *Facebook *YouTube *Public Relations *Writing Press Releases *Sending Media Alerts *How/When to hire a publicist
After the workshop, Brown Paper Tickets' event promotions staff will be on hand to help set-up accounts, write posts or even draft press releases.
Seattle GiveCamp participants are welcome to attend, as well as any staff or team members. Local nonprofits and volunteers are also invited.
Please bring a laptop and any existing social media account logins.
The Greenwood Library is located at the intersection of Greenwood Avenue North and North 81st Street.
Driving from the north (heading south): * Exit from Interstate 5 at N. 85th St. (Exit 172) * Drive West on N. 85th St. for 1 miles to Greenwood Ave. N. * Turn left on Greenwood and go south for four blocks. * The branch is on the left, on the southeast corner of Greenwood and N. 81st St.
Parking: There is free covered parking under the building. Enter and exit the garage on 81st Street.
