Amy Tobin: A cabaret salon
Improvised and new music, and a few songs by other people.
Amy Tobin is a writer and singer who performs original music and words. She has released two albums and collaborates with anyone willing to walk the line, which has included poets and punk musicians, drag queens and rabbis. Amy performs in various configurations lo-fi, hi-fi, alone with a piano, with a six-piece band and sampler, acoustic, electronic, as rock and as theater. Her cabaret rock opera "The Esther Show," a modern and adult interpretation of the Book of Esther, has toured major U.S. cities for Purim since 2002.
