SFNYC Volunteer Training
You have asked for volunteer opportunities--helping out at events and sharing your love for Good, Clean and Fair food in New York City. Please join us at our next volunteer training Tuesday, January 25. Over the past year, our trained volunteers have represented Slow Food NYC at street fairs, health fairs at schools, botanical gardens and film screenings. We have manned info tables at Jack Johnson's concert at Madison Square Garden and lead talks with church groups. If you want to get more involved with Slow Food NYC--this is a great place to start! Learn about how Slow Food started in Italy, how long SFNYC has been in existence, and how we are living and supporting our mission in NYC. Did you know that we support educational programs and gardens in 10 NYC schools? Did you know that over 60 food establishments have qualified for the Snail of Approval award? Come learn about our latest projects including Neighborhood Youth Farms, the Slow Food NYC Book Club and our annual fundraiser--Paint the Town Slow. Once you have received this training, you will have the opportunity to represent SFNYC at events. You will be the first to hear about volunteer opportunities and receive preference to work these events. Please join us for some training, the opportunity to meet fellow Slow Food supporters.
