Sweet Water Winter Workshop
Sweet Water Organics announces its first workshop Friday January 21st - Sunday 23rd. This workshop will focus on the world of commercial aquaponics and urban farming and will feature guest lecturers and a miniature systems exploration. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with current leaders in the field of aquaponics and learn how to build a miniature aquaponic system alongside Sweet Water Staff. Guest presenters include Charlie Price, doctoral candidate in aquaculture and one of the foremost researchers in aquaponics; Fred Binkowski, Senior Scientist at Milwaukee's Great Lakes WATER Institute; Sylvia Bernstein, a revolutionary behind indoor gardening who developed AeroGarden and the Aquaponic Gardening online community; Emmanuel Pratt, Executive Director of the Sweet Water Foundation. The weekend will also include a private social networking event Friday for attendees and a public celebration Saturday evening.
Spaces are limited. Tickets are $250 for the whole weekend and include all workshops, two events, lunch and dinner Saturday, and a tour facilitated by Sweet Water's co-founder on Sunday. Separate fees apply for each day if attendees choose only one day of workshops:
