David Osborne
Master of romantic piano, David Osborne has entertained at the White House President Barack Obama on several occasions as well as former presidents Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush and a host of other dignitaries and celebrities. Known for his dazzling technique and style, his music includes romantic, classical, jazz, pop, inspirational, patriotic and Broadway show tunes.
Port Ludlow Performing Arts (PLPA) continues celebrating its 25th concert season in Port Ludlow's Bay Club with a solo concert by Osborne, who began playing the piano at the age of five years. Raised in Oklahoma, he was discovered by a local teacher who heard him playing the piano by ear on the front porch of his parent's home. She was astonished at the music he was bringing out of the piano with no formal training and agreed to teach him free of charge. He followed his dream through several local teachers, and then to college to study and receive his Master's in Keyboard performance.
Osborne has performed at venues throughout the U.S., including Caesars Palace and Bellagio in Las Vegas and a nine-year residency at the Marriott Orlando World Center in Orlando, Florida, as well as internationally.
Named "Concert Pianist of the Year, 2012" at the 22nd Annual Los Angeles Music Awards, Osborne was recognized for his unforgettable stage presence and his ability to improvise any song from classical to contemporary to create his own masterpiece. Award founder Al Bowman said, "Osborne has an amazing ability to take the listener on a musical journey through time, the concert stage is where David Osborne belongs!"
