Bike Rodeo
Join the Northwest African American Museum and Bike Works for a Bike Rodeo! Youth will be provided with BMX bikes and helmets, then given an opportunity to build confidence in their abilities by progressing through a series of skills courses. These courses are designed to provide instruction and to test their ability to ride while signaling, maneuvering around objects, and making turns. At the Bike Rodeo, youth will gain skills in stations such as "driveway ride out", "scanning", "rock dodge", and "tight turns". They will also learn the correct hand signals in our "crazy crossroads" section, in an effort to teach youth how to avoid the most common types of accidents. This event is ideal for youth ages 8 to 12. Each minor must be accompanied by an adult. Please RSVP through the link provided.
Parents/Guardians: Please complete waiver and bring on the day! See you there! YEEHAW!!!!
