David Liebe Hart w/ Andy D
David Liebe Hart Known for his roles on Tim & Eric Awesome Show Great Job!, and extensive tours throughout the US, Canada and Australia, David Liebe Hart is an outsider musician, actor and painter. He's communicated with extra-terrestrials, has a large collection of puppets, and he loves trains. While his vast and bizarre catalog of songs about aliens, religion, women and trains has yielded cult hits, such as "Salame", "Father & Son" and "Puberty", his new collaborations with electronic music producer Jonah Mociun, AKA Th' Mole, have propelled Liebe Hart into previously unexplored territory.
Liebe Hart has garnered a substantially-sized fan base, not only from his TV and film appearances but from his stints on the road performing music all across the US and Australia. His followers are extremely supportive and loyal, won over by David's obvious goodheartedness, honesty and hilarious idiosyncrasies, as well his fun and engaging stage shows. As the public demands it, David is traveling the globe in 2015 in conjunction with the release of his new album, Astronaut, beginning with a return to Australia, followed by tours throughout the US, Canada and Europe.
With Jonah Mociun as Liebe Hart's backing musician, they are developing a stage show certain to please old fans and new ones alike. In addition to creating electronicised versions of David's old favorites, the duo will be performing their new songs along with David's puppets, frenetic video projection, an interactive exercise routine, as well as David's endearing and bizarre stand-up comedy.
Andy D Andy D fancies himself the anachronistic love child of Punky Brewster and Lee Van Cleef the perfect amalgam of a fictional rogue and a real-life badass. He plays music this like he lives life and it sounds like Andrew WK meets Grand Master Melle Mel or Like Prince if he couldn't sing that well and if he weren't a hyper-talented multi-instrumentalist. This is what his music is all about: part epicurean hip-hop-dance songs and part sincere dance rock songs, being eclectic and catchy is the only goal. "God Loves Drunk Chicks" is a infectious dance ditty lamenting date rape culture and "Just Push Play" is a witty indictment of "the next big thing" trend in the music industry and pop culture in general (both tracks are from the debut album Choose Your Perversion). This is rap but not hip-hop. It rocks but it's not rap-rock. These songs are meaningful party songs but maximized! Andy D bends the genres but his influences are pretty apparent. And people take notice where ever he goes. From rapping about having sex with Werewolves to singing about knife fights in a roller rink, no subject is taboo in an Andy D song; and he gets raunchy with it. Half of the fun of Andy D is hearing what he will say next the other half is dancing. Welcome to your new addiction!
