We will be honoring Dr. Julie Overbaugh and Dr. Brandi Cossairt with the Award for Scientific Advancement and Award for Early Career Achievement, respectively.Dr. Overbaugh is a full member at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Dr. Brandi Cossairt is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of Washington.
At this event we will be presenting the chapter's 2015 undergraduate scholarship recipients. Finally, we will be celebrating the Seattle AWIS Chapter's 30th anniversary.
This event also serves as a fundraiser for our Undergraduate Scholarship Program. We will be accepting donations, both online and at the event. For every $5 dollar donation, you will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
Photographs will be taken at this event for use on our Seattle AWIS website and in other Seattle AWIS publications and media material. By attending our event, you are consenting to being photographed by Seattle AWIS and having your your image and likeness used for Seattle AWIS-related purposes.
