Burst Forth: A Daylong Motion Theater Romp with Nina Wise
Relax into a felt sense of presence and ease. Move like you've never moved. Sing, growl, chant. Tell the stories only you can tell and experience a bone-deep, soul-deep liberation. Feel lighter, wiser, and sweeter. Gain confidence in your capacity for self expression and encounter a quality of freedom that can infuse your everyday life.
Motion Theater is a form of movement and narrative improv that is both an art form and a transformative practice. In this daylong workshop, we will free the voice, move gently and vigorously, and tell our stories.
CEU's available for LCSW's and MFCC's.
Nina Wise is the founder of Motion Theater and has given solo performances and taught in the US, South America, Europe and Asia. She's won awards for playwriting, innovative design and new theater, including three NEA fellowships and seven Bay Area Theater Critics' Circle Awards. Her articles and stories have appeared in magazines and anthology. Her book "A Big New Free Happy Unusual Life: Self Expression and Spiritual Practice for Those Who Have Time for Neither" gives people a way to take the workshop home with them.
