paufve | dance presents Bare Bones
Bare Bones is a low-tech evening and performance fundraiser for paufve | dance under the direction of Randee Paufve. Your participation will support paufve | dance in raising funds for the creation and presentation of brand new work. This year, that new work is a group piece called "Strangers Become Flowers."
7:30pm: silent auction, food and drink, flower power
8:00pm: work in progress showing of Strangers Become Flowers
9:00pm: mingling, more food and drink and more flowers
9:30pm: auction closes

Bare Bones this year will feature a work-in-progress showing of "Strangers Become Flowers" featuring a powerhouse cast of dancers: Rogelio Lopez, Elizebeth Randall, Andrew Merrell, Nadia Oka, Mechelle Tunstall and Anna Greenberg. The evening will abound with flowers, food, fun and festivities.
Strangers Becomes Flowers is an evening length dance exploring ideas about how strangers create trust and intimacy and how we might reinvent ourselves with someone we have just met. Strangers Become Flowers provokes us to think and question: Who is a stranger? How do we offer and receive intimacy? What makes a community? Strangers Become Flowers is a dance about empathy, about human beings touching and being touched, about narrowing chasms between people, one chance encounter at a time.
Join paufve | dance and community at Bare Bones and enjoy a fun silent auction, refreshments and beverages and a glimpse into Randee's brand new work, which will premiere in February 2016 in San Francisco.
