Improv Nerd is a weekly podcast that is recorded in front of a live audience, hosted by Jimmy Carrane, a well-known improv teacher in Chicago and former host on Chicago Public Radio. In each episode, Jimmy interviews an icon in the world of improv, giving audiences a behind-the-scenes look at careers in comedy. The show is hosted on FeralAudio.com, a Los Angeles-based podcast collective. Jon Barinholtz was born and raised in Chicago and is a proud alum of The Second City Conservatory, iO, The Annoyance Theater, and Steppenwolf Theater. Jon moved to Los Angeles in the Summer of '09 where he enjoys performing with his sketch and video group Sad On Vacation (www.sadonvacation.com) and in various improv shows all over the city, with 'Sheldon' (iO, Second City) being his favorite. You might have seen Jon on the old TV (television) on Parks and Recreation, Happy Endings, Getting On or in various bad commercials. And if you could see into the future, you would see Jon this Summer in Dumb and Dumber Too, and CBS' The McCarthys. Jon wants you to know at one point in his life he thought he had a chance to play in the NBA, and was very wrong about that thought.
Rob Belushi has a B.A. with honors in Film Studies from Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT) and has performed at Chicago theaters such as Steppenwolf, Writer's, Northlight, and Second Cityhe was resident company member in Las Vegas, understudy for Chicago Main Stage, member of The National Touring Company, and toured with Second City at Sea. His TV credits include: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., How I Met Your Mother (CBS), The Goodwin Games (FOX), The Joe Schmo Show(SPIKE), The Defenders (CBS), Cooper and Stone (CW), According to Jim (ABC). Film Credits include: Devil's Due (20th Century Fox),Thunderstruck (Warner Bros), Heebie Jeebies (SyFy), Valentine's Day (Warner Bros).
