A Choreographer's Showcase
AROVA Contemporary Ballet presents A Choreographer's Showcase, a gala event of dance works created by up and coming choreographers from around the country. All works will be performed by AROVA Contemporary Ballet dancers. At the end of each show, audience members will be given the chance to nominate their favorite choreographer. The choreographer with the most votes will receive a choreographer contract with AROVA to set a brand new work for spring 2016. This show will be considered the dance community's ultimate spring showcase venue for choreographers to perform, display and experiment their work before a public audience. A Choreographer's Showcase will also feature a new work by AROVA's artistic director, Jamorris Rivers, as well as Common Thread Contemporary Dance Company's artistic director, Jennifer Medina, who won AROVA's previous choreography competition.
