SANDAG's New Regional Plan: An Introduction
The SANDAG Board of Directors will release a draft of San Diego Forward: The Regional Plan for public review on April 24, 2015. The Plan combines the Regional Transportation Plan and Sustainable Communities Strategy with the Regional Comprehensive Plan into one planning document that provides a vision for the region's future growth and development. The plan proposes a strategy for a more sustainable future which includes investing in a transportation network that provides residents more travel choices, protects the environment, creates healthy communities and stimulates economic growth. Public workshops are scheduled throughout the region during the second half of May.
AIA|SD members are invited to attend an early presentation led by SANDAG senior staff on this important new document on Friday, May 1 starting at 7:45 am and expected to conclude by 9:15 am. This is meant to be an interactive presentation and discussion bring your questions and comments!
