Green Fire Milwaukee Premiere
Come to the Milwaukee premiere of Green Fire!

Green Fire makes its Milwaukee premiere in the IMAX theater at the Milwaukee Public Museum in downtown Milwaukee. This will be a truly special event with a program including an introduction by members of the film team, followed by a catered reception after the film.

A joint production of the Aldo Leopold Foundation, the US Forest Service, and the Center for Humans and Nature, Green Fire explores the life and legacy of famed conservationist Aldo Leopold, and the many ways his land ethic idea is living on in the work of people and organizations all over the country today. The film shares highlights from Leopold's life and extraordinary career, explaining how he shaped conservation and the modern environmental movement.

The film also illustrates Leopold's continuing influence, exploring current projects that connect people and land at the local level. Meet urban children in Chicago learning about local foods and ecological restoration. Meet ranchers in Arizona and New Mexico who maintain healthy landscapes by working on their own properties, and with their neighbors, in cooperative community conservation efforts. Meet wildlife biologists who are bringing threatened and endangered species, from cranes to Mexican wolves, back to the landscapes where they once thrived. Viewers will learn how Leopold's vision of a community that cares about both people and land ties all of these modern conservation stories together, and offers inspiration and insight for the future.

Now showing in limited engagements in communities across the country.

Q&A

Question: I have three children, 4, 5, and 7. Should I get a babysitter and enjoy the movie with my wife, or are they old enough to go? What is the min age for this movie? Regards, Ken Nowak II
Answer: Hi Ken- depends on the kids and their disposition, but we'd guess at more like 10 and older. Though our executive director is bringing his kids aged 6 & 9. It's up to you! Call if you'd like more information: 608-355-0279.
