Wink & Whisper, a re-imagining of the vibrant atmosphere of Chicago's prohibition-era LGBT nightlife, is the Guild's 6th annual benefit. And the event is being held in a former Uptown speakeasy--the new cabaret venue Uptown Underground!
Our evening of whoopee includes music, song, comedy, dance, and commentary with emcee Tamale Sepp, pianist Nick Sula, historian Jennie Brier, and performances by Vallery Dolls, Switch the Boi Wonder, Dirty Devlin, Toni Asante Lightfoot, Coya Paz, and the Chicago Diamond Trio--plus an after glow dance party with DJ Reaganomix (FKA).
Everything's jake with a selection of complimentary libations and hors-d'oeuvres. Come as you are, or in Roaring Twenties fashion (but leave the firearms, real or otherwise, at home). There will be prizes for best glad rags!
Chicago Diamond Trio (jazz) 6-7 p.m. Main show begins at 7 p.m. Dance party with DJ Reaganomix (FKA) 9 p.m.- midnight
Seating is limited | Please RSVP by May 13 All tickets include admission to dance party. Must be age 18 or older to attend.
