Nickel City Chef: February 20th
Feed Your Soul is both proud to present Western New York with the third season of Nickel City Chef, a fun and exciting opportunity to get to know some of our area's top chefs and best farmers.

Nickel City Chef is as much about Western New York as it is about cooking and entertainment. We are privileged to live in an area with a rich history enhanced by hearty ethnic foods and one of America's greatest contributions to casual cuisine the chicken wing.

And while these culinary icons are as important to Buffalo as professional sports teams and world-class architecture, in culinary terms, they are not all that we have to offer. In kitchens all over the region, chefs with serious technical skills, adventurous natures and pristine palates are preparing well-composed plates that would dizzy even the harshest critic. Nickel City Chef is designed to expose these chefs to the everyday Western New Yorker, providing them with an arena in which to showcase dishes that may be too daring or complicated to warrant a permanent position on a dinner menu.

Nickel City Chef takes place in one of the city's best kept secretsa fully restored turn-of-the-century warehouse on Buffalo's West Side (home to Artisan Kitchens & Baths).Completely outfitted with two competition-worthy kitchens, this unique setting is the ideal location for guests to enjoy snacks and drinks while experiencing this one-of-a-kind cooking competition first hand.

The audience watches as the Nickel City Chefs and their challengers attempt to create the three best dishes in under an hour! They will employ classic and modern techniques in order to showcase their skills and the secret ingredient. All of Nickel City Chef's secret ingredients are grown or produced right here in Western New York!

Guest judges and local food professionals determine which chef prepares the most technically perfect, creative and delicious cuisine. As a member of the audience, you'll even have a say by voting for your favorite!

Attendees at each NCC event watch the battle unfold live while sampling premium catered snacks and enjoying a cash wine and beer bar. The audience's ability to immerse themselves in the event is enhanced by the 12 flat panel televisions that hang throughout the location, providing close-ups of both chefs stoves and work spaces.

We hope that you will join us during Nickel City Chef, Season Three!

We do not recommend this event for children. IDs will be checked at the door in order to verify that anyone being served at the bar is of age.
