The Illinois Craft Brewers Guild (ICBG), Hop Head Farms, and Buckledown Brewing present: The 2nd Annual #CCBW Public Hop Seminar.
On Thursday, May 21st, the highly anticipated #CCBW Public Hop Seminar will once again entice the senses of craft beer enthusiasts by introducing rare and exquisite types of hops that are considered unavailable to the general public. Attendees will have the opportunity to touch (rub), smell, and taste different variants of hops and learn unique styles of brewing from the perspective of a hop farmer and a professional brewer. Festivities will begin at 7pm and end at 10pm.
All participants will receive a commemorative tasting glass for this event. Buckledown Brewing and Hop Head Farms will also offer specialty pours that have been brewed utilizing the hops presented in this educational format.
Nunzino Pizza, proprietor of Hop Head Farms (MI), will once again lead the educational process, and Ike Orcutt, Buckledown's co-owner and head brewer, will provide professional brewing insight on the hop selection process. Hop styles will include Cascade, Centennial, Simcoe, as well as other rare variants!
Food for purchase will be provided by: Domer Men
