Gary International Black Film Festival
The first of its kind in Gary, the film festival will feature narrative, documentary, experimental and short films that are by or about black people from the U.S. and around the world.
The festival is a community-led hometown event that seeks to facilitate genuine dialogue and build community across the aisles and across neighborhoods in Gary. Festival partners include the Froebel Alumni Association and the Urban League of Northwest IN. Indiana University NW Department of African American and African Studies, and the IUN Black Student Union have also shown interest in collaborating with the Festival.
