The full original cast is once again on board the starship Enterprise, as Dr. McCoy and Mr. Spock lure now Admiral Kirk out from behind his desk at Star Fleet for a seemingly simple mission that goes terribly wrong. William Shatner once again indulges his famous over-the-top acting as Kirk and Ricardo Montalban is the villainous and vengeful Khan. The film is a rare example of one that is actually a sequel to a television series episode, in this case "Space Seed," from the Star Trek series in 1966.
