Engage for Change Conference
At the 2015 Conference for Community Engagement and Scholarship, students, educators, and community partners come together to discuss the impacts of their engaged work. The conference aims to connect local community engagement practitioners (faculty, students, community organizations) and encourage sharing of best practices and model programs and to push community-engaged scholarship forward in the Capital Region. The focus largely involves the evaluation of tangible outcomes that result from these partnerships as well as how these relationships may be incorporated into pedagogy for student benefit and community action.
This year's conference focuses on four tracks:
1. Food access/security in the Capital Region 2. Community engaged teaching and learning 3. Community engaged scholarship and research 4. Best practices in community-university partnerships
